If the designer of that system ever needed to debug it, extend it, or swap out
an IC, the designer would be out of luck. Vdd=red, Ground=black, color-code
other things to make it easy to follow wires and debug. Don't cross wires
over chips. Keep wiring neat (not necessary pretty), so that it is easy to
follow wires when debugging.
